I have just bought a pipe for my predator and a dyno jet off the internet. How do i re-jet my carb, i have never re-jetted any carburater before, Any insight would be helpful or advice, I am desperate for help

well.. you already made one mistake... buying a dyno jet kit...


first you gotta take the bottom off your carb... and find your main jet... which is in some sort of plastic tube i think... you take that out... then put the new main jet that dyno jet says to put in.. and put it back together.. then your done.
so basically you coulda ask us what jet you might need.. bought the 3 around that size... and save yourself a lil money..

 

the one i bought says that it is for the predator 500

ya you got the right jet kit.. but inside it tells you what jet you should put in for pipe and elevation.
if your at sea level... with just a pipe.. your prolly gonna need a 155 to a 160... but the dyno jet #'s are screwed up.

 

whta kinda pipe did you buy?

 

i ride at sea level, how will it affect my bike with the kit i bought?

it wont.. a jet kit has everything you need in it for what ever sea level.. thats why they are exspensive

 

do you have a K&N filter?
