It will be a YZF400 since this motor is proven and no longer on the assembly line.. A quad getting a brand new engineered dirtbike motor. That's funny.....LOL

Dirt Wheels quote: "The TRX450R engine is not simply a CRF450R dirt bike motor installed in a quad chassis. It is all new, and almost every internal component part is different from its motorcycle cousin."
End of quote.

Its almost to bad . What the heck is the deal ? Why do the quads get the detuned motors? Shouldnt they get a souped up bike engine to compensate for the extra wieght or are they afraid we cant handle power?

I have always thought that they thought along the lines of since we aren't "skilled" enough to ride something with two wheels then we must not be skilled enought to handle the power of something with 2 wheels. Wistech your right, we should get the better motors to compensate.
