I am going to buy a sport 4x4, and i need to know which would be the best for me. I am not going to go through some big water, but i want to beable to go through some. I want a lot of speed, and one that can do a wheely. Would a 400 or 500 be better for me, or another totally new quad.

I have a 98Expoler 400 4x4, a 99Scrambler 400 4x4. A few moods on both. I like them both, the Expl. is a better deep trails bike (with the low range trans. The Scr. is a better fast trail bike with its wheel travel. My Expl. has more top end speed. The Scr. is quicker out of the hole. Right now I like the 2-stokes with the autotrans I dont see the need for a four stoke sorry people

I'm for the 2 strokes too, lots of power and potential to make more, cheaper. I used to ride 4 strokes but not anymore. Compare HP figures and you'll be getting one of the Polaris 2 strokes.

I ride the Scram400 and it is a blast! Easy to mod and give extreme power augmentation. Try both the 400 and 500 and choose the one that fits your riding style.

others to consider:

Yamaha Wolverine: light full-time 4x4, semi-auto trany
Yamaha Kodiak: not really a sport 4x4 but close (same weight as scramblers), all disk brakes, very manueverable

I'm not a Yamaha lover, just trying to throw out other considerations.
