i want to see vids of DS vs 250r....pref near stock form.... (no like 760s vs bored out 250s....)

Once it warms up I should be able to talk my friend that has a 250r to make some vids with me. My DS is stock except for filter. His R is pretty much stock to0. He does have exhaust on it. We would go first through third dead even but once I hit fourth the DS would pull away. We both way about the same and for an '86 that is one fun toy!!!

 

Although I'm Stage 1 (about 12rwhp over stock if tuned properly), the R's around here don't seem near as fast as a stock DS... Even before 3rd gear. Unless they have motorwork they will not beat a DS with a carb/filter/full pipe/CDI/manifold. Just not happening.

Unless all the R's here are really slow or my DS is really fast (doubt it)...

A DS should easily walk away from a 250r in stock form.

 

Them R's dont impress me too much. My friend has one, all drag'd out, ported (stock bore) etc, etc that runs 5.3's and my DS stock with no paddles (jus ran it down the track for fun) ran a 5.78 with me on it. All it has is a K&N and a modded end cap. ALL SUSPENSION NO PADDLES

 

adam was this at tsd??....my ds is a stage 1 on alky and my 250 has pipe and mx porting but its not in the best of shape my ds kills it but the r has huge top end power somehow who knows...btw at atoka when i was just piped i ran 5.8 on my ds but tsd is dryer and down hill a lil i hear..looking forward to running there
