A rubber o ring came off my chain, Is the chain ok? 03 Z 400.

Default A rubber o ring came off my chain, Is the chain ok? 03 Z 400.
The chain looks like it is in good shape, I was just wondering if the chain is bad now or what, thanks a lot
P.S this is on a 03 Z 400

The chain is not toast yet but that link will be the weak spot. O-rings help keep the lube in the rollers. No o-ring=lube slings out. You can use standered chain lube ( a bit messy ) but it will extend the life of your chain.
PS. Always replace chain and sprockets as a set.

How will I know when the chain is no good? What can you do if it breaks on a trail ride? thanks
