Default riding at salt flats

Around here there are a lot of salt flats (place where the salt has eaten up the land and it's bare, for those of you who don't know) and me and my buds use to ride there. My friend who rides a modified blaster claims to have to troubles with the salt eating up his machine...BUT he rides a blaster which is kick start and doesnt have to worry about wiring to the starter. I used to ride there with my warrior and it had some electric problems, but I don't know whether that was what caused it or whether it was the fact I never washed it. Will this hurt my new machine? Will I be ok if I wash it off pretty soon? Tell me what you guys think.

Well, I cant comment on the salt, but these things are made to be put through some crap. I would say as long as you wash it when you are done you shouldnt have any problems. You may want to put a little diaeletic (sp?) grease on the electrical terminals if it worries you

salty substances will corrode and rust out alot of things if you do wash it frequently.
