I did it...I bought a new DS650...
I bought a new 2004 DS650 Baja X.... [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif[/img]
The immediate mods I plan are a K & N air filter, pipe/silencer, and CDI box (prob Vortex). I also plan on replacing the extra Baja lights with HID lights and adding a handlebar mount HID light along with a Trailtech computer (I do a lot of night riding at the dunes). Other, more exspensive motor mods must wait a year. [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-sad.gif[/img]
I will be getting STU Sand Skate IIs paddles with STU Razor Backs up front for the dunes.
I mainly ride at the dunes in Southern California and there is a 96Db noise restriction. What is the best reasonably priced silencer that I can get that will work with later engine mods?
Any other suggestions?

I just got an X on this past weekend, and have a K&N, and couple of other small things on the way allready. These things are addicting.
One day I would like to build a motor funds are short right now.

I did it...I bought a new DS650...
sweat! I have been thinking of trading up to a x as well. I just cant seem to bring myself to it yet. if the noise is a issue as it is with me, you could wait a while for the lte's. mod your end cap for now. thats what I would do. I will have a mbrp on ebay soon. when I get around to putting my stock exhaust back on. so far, the stock exhaust with moded end cap has been the best exhaust improvement for me.
