Modified Trailblazer Lighting!!!!!!!
#1
Has any one upgraded the lights on there Trailblazer? I have a 2000 Scrambler 500 with twin Hella 500 55W Driving lights. These are awesome! The 500 has the 260 watt stator designed for the Sportsman so it will run the lights easy.
But my wifes 2000 Blazer is only rated at 150 watts. I am thinking of upgrading her to a set of stock scrambler lights which are 30 each, and disconecting her stock light, which is 55. This should run ok and the stock Scrambler 500 lights are far superior. Tell me what you think.

ScramblerDrew,
I've run the 100 watt H-3 Halogen bulbs on my Trailblazer for two years now and had no problems. If you really want to see the wild lighting set-up I have on my Sport, visit my site. Just click the hyperlink below my name.

I took Mikes advice and did this to the TB a year ago. The 100W bulb is better. I've heard that it could melt the lens, but that has yet to happen....

Andrew,
About the only thing that could happen (and it hasn't on mine yet, or even that I heard of) is that it could melt the reflector. The lens is glass. It would take a lot more heat than a 100 watt bulb to melt the lens.
