its gonna be a fun season makin it to ever race i can. i will have the camera for you when u place first this year on the yfz.. hopefully i can get mine so i could move up to b class w/ ya but by that time u will be racin A

pudl or any one else knowing of the series -i have a fwe question for ya- is its going to be like laps that are set up to last like 30 min a lap and have like 5 laps or so. or how is it set up?

you have to be signed up for the atva member ship or w.e but will the ama membership work?
do you have to have numbers on your quad? and does that have to be regesterd?

and will the atva membership need to be signed up before the racin start or is there sign up at the races?

i have emailed andy and asked him these question but havnt heard back.. cant wait for srping to come!!

There will be classes for everyone, Pro, B, C, women's C, Utility, Women's utility, 30+ and 90cc. The only member ship you will need will be ATVA, or AMA...they are basically one and the same...you just get a different magazine in the mail...I was AMA, I hate the dang 2-wheel magazine they send out, so I will sign up ATVA this time!...but it doesn't matter. The races will run 2 hours (45 min. for 90cc class). Basically, after the 2 hour period is up, riders will be pulled off the course as they come in for the final check. Once the race has ended, riders that snuck through with for ex. 15sec. left in the race, will have a limited amount of time to finish their last lap. That time will be determined by the amount of time it takes the leaders to make one lap...example...once the checkered flag is out...if the pro's can make 1 lap in 15 min. on a 4 mile course, anyone remaining to finish their last lap will have say, 20 min. to make it back for their last lap to count...but the last lap time rule will change at each course depending on the length, and how fast the leaders are making a lap...basically thought, you will always go a min. of 2 hours! If you have any more questions, feel free to pm me!! The sponsors have presented lots of prizes for the amatuers to win,and the pro class will have 100% payback...it will be an awesome year!

Bart,
Look at my first post in this thread, it has the link to the website which will have the schedule. We will be hitting Waukon 2 times, which is NE Iowa, and shouldn't be to far of a hike for you...other wise there is Ft. Dodge, then they all get into southern iowa. But if you wanna ride some sick mx...make it to the Buessy also known as Bluff Creek on June 13th. It's and OHV park that will run through 2 mx sections...one containing the awesome "Gravity cavity" It's a 50ft. table that the landing is a step down, a super interchange that feels like you are pulling 3 g's on a roller coaster, that blasts into a 100ft. up hill, which ends in a peak that you need the speed at the top to clear the 50ft. gap on the top side as a step-up...not for the weak of heart...or anything smaller than a 400... Bring your brass ***** to that one Bart!! Otherwise waukon is a wicked track with sweet up hills!! I'm definately gonna try to make monticello...cause I have a score to settle with that course...and 1 hill city, cause those slopes are killer!!

Are they running mini quads at the hair scrambles? Are they running a womens class?

Yes, there will be a class for 90cc, and I think they may soon add a 50cc class...but I think the 90cc class will allow 90 and smaller to run...I can check for sure. There will also be a womens class...and there is enough intrest that there may be a womens utility, and womens sport, but right now I think it's just a womens class. There is also a 30+ class as well as pro, B, C, and utility

Sounds like a sweet deal! For those who don't know, there's a ton of work going on behind the scenes, please support the race series which your geographical location permits. If you've never raced a harescramble, they're a blast. You can buy some relatively inexpensive boots for around $79, a helmet (obviously), a chest protector (also under $100), and it's strongly suggested to have some type of hydration system (Camelback, etc). There are classes for any machine. Don't be afraid to ask questions, all the racers are willing to help others get started. Just sign up, and have fun! Warning, you'll be addicted quickly, cause they're a blast! Get off the couch!!!!!!!!!
