Default Wrech light blinking when i start up 700

My wrench light is on, on my 04.5 sporstman 700. it has 250 miles and 55 hours. i thought it was on because the fan was not working. but my fan came on the other day. i noticed it right at the 50 hour mark it came on. is it trying to tell me that i need a "service". i took it back to the dealer at 20 hours for the first service.. but its not due for 50 hours after that which is 70 hours. but the little computer is prob tellin me to get a service. it only flashes when i first start it up.. it flashes for about 15 secs... then goes away and does not return, unless i shut if completely off and restart the motor. How do i turn it off? thx in advance

If I recall correctly, thats programable. Your dealer must have set it so it would trigger at 50 hours. Your manual should explain how to reset it ( I know the shop manual does).

Lovemud is correct the little wrench that lights up is to remind you that it is time to get the engine serviced. The owners manual say's that it is set from the factory for 50 hours. It is on page 49 and it explains how to reset it or disable it. Hope this helps..

The purpose of the flashing wrench icon is just to remind you that it's time for your routine maintenance......It is set at the factory to display at 50 hrs...You can also set the hours so the wrench will flash when you hit a certain amount of hours....
To turn off the wrench you're gonna need to press and hold the mode button for approximately 7 seconds until the word OFF appears in the display....... Hope that helped..

To set the maintenance time, put the quad in neutral and turn it off. Wait about 10 seconds. Then hold down the Revese Override button for five seconds, then, while still holding it, turn the key to ON or start the quad. You can then navigate the menus pressing the button to go to the next menu, or holding it to make a selection.

The wrench means its time for an oil change.
