Hay I am thinking on changeing to 27" tires probably black water, so if I change to 27" tires would I have to change the rims also. I was going to do some tradeing with my dealer on some really nice tires that were 27" on a 95 sportsman he let me borrow but the bolt patterns were different on the 95 models which were a solid axle bike...

If you can find a tire in the right rim size, and your rims are wide enough, then no problem with the stockers. I have 12x6.5" stock arctic cat rims with 27" Bi & Tri Claws and they went on fine. The Tri-Claws are a bit tall if you put too much air in them because of the smaller width of the 6.5" rim, but thats not a problem. I just run them at a lower pressure than the fronts. They are a good 28" tall if I have 9lbs. I run 4lbs rear and about 6 in the Bi-Claws up front and the height difference is only 1/4 inch.
