Help

o.k.. Here's my story. I installed the following items in my Raptor:
102mm 12:1 JE piston, stage 2 hotcam, ferrea valves, kibblewhite springs, new timing chain and rocker arms.new battery
Here's my problem: everything is in, timed correctly, rocker arm clearances are set, the motor has spark, when I turn it over using the starter it almost comes to a stop when it gets to the compression stroke and then the starter relay just clicks. While all of this is happening the lead/power cable coming from the positive side of the battery is getting quite hot. The first thing I thought of was that the decompression pin was not installed correctly. So I checked it and that is fine.
It just doesn't seem to be turning over as fast as it should.
Any suggestions?

Hmm try hooking a charger up to your battery while you are starting it? battery might not be putting out enough juice... 12:1 is 3:1 more compression than the starter is used to starting, but plenty of people do it, so I don't see why your case should be any diferent.
