Default Why buy an aftermarket swingarm (other than for a different length)

I am about to buy a LSR swingarm for my '99 Banshee. It is stock length. I am getting it for a steal, but seeing what they go for new ($750) I have to ask "Why?". What advantages are there to these ultra-expensive swingarms if you're not changing the length. Ok, you get rid of the stock chain adjustment, but is that worth $750? I assume they are stronger than stock, but I haven't heard of ppl having a problem with stock ones breaking. Are they lighter? What gives? Is this a bragging rights only mod?

Well regaurdless, a LSR product is definately better than a stock yamaha one. People probably buy them for weight reduction, pimp factor (), and strength. Ive heard of bent stock swingarms, and the lsr is probably stronger.

I got a Durablue axle, LSR swingarm, and carrier (with wheel, brake, and sprocket hubs) for $390. All in great shape.
