Default LA Designs..... I've never seen a company like this!!!

Okay I ordered a one way bearing for my 2001 model Raptor. I figured I'd get an LA Design and I ordered it from Bob at Craycraft Racing. Well recently I started up my Raptor and I noticed it was spinning again. I mentioned it to Bob at Craycraft and he made some talks and calls to LA Designs.

Today in the mail I got another One way bearing PLUS... a check to ship the old one back. In this day an age that kind of service is damn near impossible to find.

So lo and behold, anyone having a bad one way go out on them I can't stress this enough GET AN LA DESIGN. I'm going to look into what other products they may carry because that is a company that stands behind thier products.

Now question to all you gearheads... should I replace the gear again in the Rappy? That one is going to come out of my pocket.

You can say that again! There isn't too many of them left either.

I would replace the gear. If the gear is chewed up at all it will eat the one way up.

what is the cost associated with changing your oneway and installing a LA designs 1way. i think its time to do mine. raptortranny.com says 2 hrs...what is the actual time to do this job.

i'll be glad to give them my business,,,nothing but strong recommendations all around.

LA Designs sounds like great company I guess thats why a great company like Craycraft Racing does business with another great company like LA Designs! IMO!

could take as little as 30 minutes, to as long as 3 or 4 hours. All depends what tools you have available and how quick you work. (I found 2 hours to be a happy medium for most folk, start to finish)

Tools available is the key word.

So once you start spinning could you do any damage besides chewing the gear up? And if it spins and you stop and try again and it clunks, and you try it again and then it starts, is it time to stop trying to start it. My L&A Design is on the way. Just wondering what other damage I would do trying to ride it in this condition while awaiting the kit.

As the stock one-way slowly eats itself up the metal shavings coming off the cams in the sprague and are going through your system. Could possibly cause other problems.
