I have a Ramsey 2500# ATV winch that I need to modify to install. Can any of you guys tell me if I can rotate the end cap on the motor 90 degrees? I need to get the power terminals out of harms way. Thanks in advance.

 

The motor on the ramsey looks almost exactly like the one for the warn. I rotated mine and it has functioned flawlessly since, so I believe it yielded no ill-effects. Simply back out the two retaining screws (but do not remove), then rotate the cap. I can't remember if the motor body needs to rotate with the cap or not, but when you do it, you'll find out.
