Take it out of vibrate mode and put it in stealth mode. I'm just kidding. I could not help it.
Is it at low speed hi speed or all speeds? Did it happen in gear and out of gear? Did it change with RPM? Did it get worse the faster he went or better? Was he sitting on his cell phone? lol We'll get it figured out.

LOL Fishslab!

i found a vibration only at a certain RPM. in low, on the trail just a little above idle.

tell your friend to increase or decrease his ground speed and the vibration will go away. i know it sounds lame, but that's the nature of the twin.

my rear fender on my 2002 SP700 would vibrate and rattle against the bottom of the rack. i put a piece of black foam insulation in between- problem solved!

Any chance it could be the tires out of balance?

Is this a mechanical vibration or rattling noises. I have an 02 that drove me nuts with vibration rattles. Finally I pin pointed them by putting presure on suspected areas and then isolated the noises by rapping the culprits with heater hose and zip ties. No more noise!

Try these spots
Exaust manifold shieldRear right brake line (upper portion)
