I am shopping for a new quad. I have owned a few in my life but i just want to step up to a new one for the first times. I love sport quads. what would be a good quad for me. Im 250 pounds so i want something that will pull me around pretty good. All my buddies have raptors, so that quads out. I want something different then all my friends. Plus i want something as fast or faster than the raptor. I am sick of getting left in the dust. The quads i have had are an 86 and and a 93 quadsport 230 and my current quad is an 87 mojave 250.

 

how about the YFZ 450 of the honda 450 those are both great and have plenty of power to pull you around

 

I just recently purchased a 03 predator 500 and love it. It has plenty of power for 250 lbs- look into it---- left overs are under 5 grand

 

how about the bombardier ds650? There is a 01 for sale for 3800 and an 03 for 4800.

how are these atvs? i havent heard much about them

 

I have only heard good things about the ds650, i say go grab one of them up before they are gone

 

yeah the ds is supposed to be a good quad.

The DS is a good quad.

But if you spend more than 50% of your riding time in tight wooded trails, then forget about it. It's way wider than your buddies quads and to make matters worse, when you do get hung up you have to get off and push while your buddies put their's in reverse to see what happened to you. Just something to think about.

 

thats the onle thing thats holdin me back. I love the raptor for the reverse but i dont want to get one cause all my friends have one. I want something different. any quads out there that are faster or just as fast as the raptor that have reverse?

get the predator.. its differnt and its just as fast if not faster than the raptor...

 

i still havent made up my mind.

The choices i have are either a 01 ds650 bombardier, an 03 ds650, predator, any others out there? i dont want an 04 im trying to get a slightly used one. Probably around 01-03 depending on the price.
