Iam looking at a 97 exploer 400 4x4 it might be a express, not sure, anyway it has a blown motor what do you think its worth ? than you tbguy250

i wouldnt pay no more than $1300 because u still have to fix the engine and thats not gonna be cheap. maybe u could even just keep the frame and stuff put in a 400 scrammy engine.

 

Maybe $1000 or a little more. Keep in mind, that is the same motor that it in the scram 400, so the same mods will work for that. I wouldnt give more than $500 if the plastic and tires are in good shape.I gave $800 a few yrs ago for my 96 400 SP and ended up with over $3000 in it.

You can rebuild a motor easier than replaceing it with one that may be in need of a rebuild.

How did the motor get blown and how many miles are on the quad?
