my buddy is gona buy a used quad, we found a used lt250r for 1900 with weisco and new tires, its an 86 and looks real nice, we also found a 02 400ex for 3,100...wut is better for him, he will ride trails and snow in the winter....help me out!!

 

Go with the 400ex they are heavier so are really good on trails and even better through the snow.

It depends on what he wants. You are comparing a 18 year old two stroke with a 2 year old 4 stroke. One has a kick start, one has an electric start. Those are worlds of difference. The LT makes more horsepower and weighs less but the 400 is easier to ride with better suspension. The 2-stroke is cheaper to repair, the 4 stroke rarely needs repair. It really depends on what you want. Also money may be a factor. $3100.00 is alot more money than $1900.00 but you are getting a much newer bike. What kind of condition is the 400 in? You mentioned the 250's condition but not the 400's. Each has their place, you just have to decide which place is best for you. I am a Suzuki fan myself owning 2 LT500Rs but my buddy has a nice ex that is a great quad.

 

well, the 400ex is an 01 red, new tires look like razrs, and ac nerfs..good deal??
