Best Big Mud tire for 04' 4x4 rancher
#2
For a Rancher? ITP589MS, in stock sizes. Anything bigger is going to suck too much power. The ITP589MS has big lugs, even in the Rancher size.
I've got them on my Foreman and they work great in the mud.

you want the baddest tires around get the gators thats what i have and there awsom.
i was on ebay this morning and thay have mud lites and gators in there farely cheep. the gators are tougher then the mud lites but also heaver.
i know a guy with a 500 rubacon and a 450 forman and thay both have 26" mud lites on there quads and thay say almost no power loss, and thay both love them.
if you go with the mud lites get the 26" tires thay have the deep lugs the 25" tires only have the same size tread as the stock tires.
but i still say the gators are the best.

my buddy has 26" bear claws on his kodiak and it still has lots of power.
but i would go with the 26" mud lites if i were you or the gators its your choice.
if you go to 27s or 28s you'll lose some power but you'll gain 1 to 2 inches in ground clearance

I have 04 4x4 rancher es. My 26" mudlites came in on thursday, and i spent the weekend putting them to the test. They passed, slinging mud the entire time. 26" are the biggest you can go without a lift kit or doing some cutting. The front tires have plent of clearance, but the rears come pretty close. Don't forget you will have to get new rims at least for the rear(stock rear rims are only 11"). No real power loss with the 26" either and the ride is alot more stable in off camber situations. Oh yeah did i forget to mention the mudlites really rip s#!t up.
