Uh.... the lines on the cam sproket and head dont match up when the crank is on TDC (they can be a bit off but a lot can signal chain stretch). If its retarded you lose some torque and gain some hp, vice versa if its advanced.

pull off the timing chain cover and see if its tight on the sprocket then turn the motor over with a wrench while watching and listening to the chain. It might be something wrong with the cam chain tensioner. Check the alignment with the timing marks while your in there and make sure the chain isint loose.

Tight enough so it doesnt move side to side just like your primary drive chain. And tight enough so it barely lifts off the tooth of the sprocket.

I was told that the chain had to have at least 1 inch of travel so when u take a jump that the suspension has to traavel causing the chain to tension. so u might not want it to be too tight or u will stretch ur chain.
