Default major carb problems

I took my carb off to jet it with the 160, and i ran into some major problems. First, i forgot to shut off the fuel line so gas leaked everywhere. once that got undercontrol my dad dropped the little brass washer into the carb. Once we got that we figured out that we pulled off one of the hoses going out of the carb. we cant get it back into the hose it came out of. It is the smallest hose commin in and out of the carb. It's end looks like a small pacifier and connects into a small black rubber tube. It is leaking gas slowly into my dads shed. I need help. Right now i have the carb covered where the air comes in. I cant do much now cuz lights cant go near the gas fumes. Please help! Thanks!

i sed it wrong, I know where it goes but cant reach it. There is only enough slack in the hose (from the carb) to connect it (with the little black rubber hose) when the carb is almost on, but then i cant get to it with nething but one hand. Thats where more problems start. The little black rubber hose is so flexible that it bends when i try to push the hose (comming off the carb) into it. I think i am going to have to remove my trany cover and parts of it or my pipe to reach both at once. Ne ideas

I suggest getting an extra long pair of needlenose pliers. Work awsome for connecting hoses that you can't get to with fingers. Sears has em almost 12" long
