TIRE opinions!!

Trying to figure out what to mount on the yfz for this seasons cross country season. Can't decide what I want for tires...except 6 ply. From other guys, what tires do you prefer most? Kenda Klaw, Razr, Razr 2, or Holeshot xcr. I liked the razr fronts on my pred, but on the rear they just slid too much, that is part of the nature of that beast though. I just wonder if razr's do well on a machine that can actually wheelie on occasion. How are the razr2's, is there 2 much traction...too hard to slide? Just some opinions and/or tire reviews from past experience would really help me in my decision!

Im happy with my holeshots! Fronts grip nicely, rears can be pushed out if wanted to. They just arent any good in mud. I tried going through some major mud (slippery clay with lots of water) and it would not come off and I would get stuck. But on the dirt roads, you better not be behind me or all the rocks Im slinggin will hit you.

Compare all of the top GNCC racers this season, you will find that most of the top guys (or girls) run Razr2s. For wet or muddy conditions, like most of the races this year, they are THE BEST. Most of the people that use Holeshots do so because their race team has a contract to use ITP tires. For more dry conditions the original Razrs will probably be better than the 2s. JMHO

In my experience, I had ridden with a buddy of mine who had some razr2's on his 440 ex and nobody would ride behind him. It was painful. I just put them on my yfz, and the guys i ride with dont get too far ahead so they stay far back usually. The razr and razr2 are insane how well they hook up.

I run the Holeshots. The guys I race with are just as split as the suggestions here.
Both are great tires.
They do handle differently, so it just comes down to what feels right to you.

Well, I guess my style is more of a brake and go around the corner style...lock the rear to get it around the corner and juice it when straight...I hate the feeling of the rear sliding all over under power during a race...reason #1 why I got rid of my predator!! But I don't want a tire that's so aggressive that I can't get it to slide. I've heard great things about razr2's up front...but you see many pro's run regular razrs on rear in dry conditions? Is it very easy to get the razr2 rears to slide on a brake lockup?? or will I just end up on my side in a bear pile in the woods?...lol
