I rode the new Honda TRX450r yesterday......................SWEET! It's fast and powerful;Like the YFZ it doesn't like the low rpm range. It handles great and definitely has the best front brakes ever!Overall I'd say that the YFZ has met it's match.........................

I tried it in every arena that I could;(sand, hard packed, whoops, jumps etc.).Neither the TRX or the YFZ handle as well as my Z4?0 on ELKAS but they definitely are miles ahead of any other stock quads.I think they are both awesome machines.I think it will come down to which color you want to ride................

Without a radar gun I honestly couldn't say which is the fastest; They truly are that close. The TRX would probably be the one I would choose for riding trails. The only reason I say this is because of seat position and comfort in the seated position. The YFZ has a harder seat and a more aggressive seating position but, both handle the trails equally well. I can't see either one having a difinitive edge over the other.2 awesome machines...........no loser...........pick your color.

13inc,

Thanks for the info. My 450R is coming soon. I mostly ride aggressive trails, but like to play on the dunes as well. Atv action said that the difference between the two quads in a 125 yard drag on slightly uphill asphalt was .16 seconds. To the YFZ of course, but I can live with that for the comfort and ergonomics. Both will launch you off of a dune or jump and will be fun as heck for just playing.

We've already purchased the power-up kit for the TRX.We will put that to the test next weekend.I'll try to post the results of the kit as far as how it enhances the overall performance......

It's hard to say, I'm a honda fan but I think Yamaha will have a slight performance edge mod for mod. You will just have to decide what type of riding and riding style is most important and throw down some money.
