Default has yamaha finally fessed up???

i cant beleave it!!! yamaha posted on there web sight that they are aware of the heating issues with the 2002 and 2003 grizzly's!!!
then( gasping) they said( grabbing my chest) they would install all the heating protection( still in shock) AND the 2004 side panels( actually getting a woody) on anyone with an overheating issue( still cant beleave it) FOR FREE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! yes, i said FOR FREE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
it is posted on there web sight, under product information!
FOR FREE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
people in he11 are freezing right now! ( scrambling to find a dealer) i have to get on this before they realize they are doing this for the public, and change there minds!!!
next thing you know, they will be saying the 01 raptor gears are there fault!!! ( who am i kidding, that will NEVER HAPPEN)
so, if you have a grizzly, and need more protection, then go to the web sight. you have to print out the page as stated, and contact a dealership.
i am now going to church, couse this is a miracle!!!!

if you didn't get it from the post, YAMAHA ADMITTED THEY SCREWED UP, and it only took 3 years!!!
i am happy now

ya but when your quad goes to the dealer.. they will find something to say that you somehow voided the warrenty and it wont be covered...
good ole polaris is covering my chain snapping 3 months out or warrenty and giving me a new case and a few otherr things that broke...

my warrenty was up almost 3 years ago, but they will still do it for free! there is no warrenty on this. if you have an 02 or 03 grizzly, they will install this kit, including the new side panels, for free!!!
i too am in shock. i will call a dealership soon enough. a man on another forums has allready called, and told them he did not want them working on it. the dealership said no problem, and ordered the kit anyway, for him to install himself. for free!!!
i need to lie down, lol!

well, i called a yamaha dealership. they were notaware of this, so he looked online and read it while i was on the phone. he agreed with me that it appears that yamaha is willing to do this for my grizzly, regardless that my warrenty is up. he then took my vin no, and name. he said he was contacting yamaha emmeditally and seeing if he can do this on my grizzly. he said if they say yes, then he will order the kit, and set an appointment for me. i cant beleave they are willing to do it still.
he did however, say that in order to do the mod, the machine has to be running perfectly. he meentioned valve adjustments and so on, and i assured him i know the gist. i told him i adjust my valves every 30 hours or so, and have rejetted the quad. i am running slightly rich, witch i stated why. he got that i know how to tune my quad after that.
so, wich me luck on this. i will post what i hear when i hear it!

Thats great news I'm happy for ya, but I wasn't going to sit around and wait for my time bomb.....er....I mean 01' raptor to be covered. I don't think they'll ever admit to that one........ Can you imagine the ramifications for that one? I do agree though, I think they'res alot of cold people in hell right now....

Took me forever to get em to admit there was a recall, but they gave me a new axle housing for free and the guy was actually bargaining with yamaha trying to get me a new disc and calliper. But they told him no, not unless I could go through the woods and find the old one. But since it wasnt there when I bought it, and that was part of the price agreement, its all good.
