have you considered a 250 ex?......i had a 400 ex for a long time, nevery really thought much of the 250, but i rode my 12yr old cousin's 250ex, and it was a blast....nevery rode on a small machine that was so much fun. it rode just like my 400ex, the weighting, the handling, everything....except the power and the pricetag. i have heard good things about the z250 though, but warriors are pretty unrefined machines...i havent liked a single warrior ive ridden on. blasters are fast, but 2 strokes can be a pain in the a$$ for a slower recreational rider....

If it is true, consider the new Raptor 350. Great first quad.

buy that blaster if youve got a big right leg, otherwise a z250 is better, price of z250 is 3500 otd in ala, remember you get what you pay for

I'd go with the new raptor 350 coming out in April... it's a redone warrior and only $300 more. You'll get more power, better handling, and better ergonomics.

If you decide on the Blaster, you better plan on spending some more money to get a decent set of tires for it. The old round 3 wheeler tires that come on it are one of it's biggest downfalls. If you want to Trail ride with your Quad, then the best choice for the least amount of money is the Z250 or the 250EX. I have ridden all 3 of these quads, and I Personally prefer the Z250, which is the reason I purchased it for my Wife. The Z and the EX will not out accelerate a Blaster in a straight line, but when it comes to riding the trails, they will do a better job of it. One reason is the shaft drive allows for more ground clearance. The other reason is the more updated and friendly suspension.

If you want to spend a little more money, then the Warrior or the New Raptor 350 are quads to consider. Not having ridden a Raptor 350, it is hard to say what it will bring to the table, but on paper, it looks to be a good quad. Another couple of quads to think about are the Honda 300EX and Kawasaki Mojave 250.
