Requiring 110 octane fuel has nothing to do with jetting. It has to do with cylinder compression. Odds are that he has installed a high compression piston and possibly had it stroked, or even shaved the cylinder / head to give it more squish. There is no way to back up without changing internal components like the pistion. If it truely is a high compression engine, dropping the octane on the fuel should result in "detonation" or "pinging" which is quite destructive. You would hear it. If you do not hear pinging, I would be curious as to why he think it needs high octane fuel.

To be honest, it sounds like a pretty sweet deal to me, although, one must wonder why such a good deal exists. If you could get his 3/4 month warranty on paper, proceed.

Ride On.

if this thing runs and looks ok....BUY IT! BUY IT! BUY IT! 110 is easy to find. If you do not like it after you get it you could sell it and make money with no prob.

If i was you i would buy it immediately,
finding 110 octane is pretty easy.
If you buy it keep it, since 350 x's
were only made two year's.

-----------

86 350x fast
85 200x faster

I would jump on that deal quick before it's gone IMO! You can get your money back if your not happy with it, with no problem parting it out. Jump before someone else does!
Later!
