Default Tough decision

Ok, in the past i have said i was going to get a YFZ450 in march, I know this machine is great at mx pretty much, but the z400 (from what ive heard and believe) is much better for trails, I LOVE to ride mx and trails, i like mx better than trails, but i also LOVE to ride wheelies, and i believe that the Z400 would be much better than that according to videos and watching a guy at the dealership roll on the throttle and pop the front end up. Weight doesnt matter, but in case some of you were wondering, i weigh about 140lbs w/o riding gear. To sum what i like to ride up, i ussually ride MX as much as possible, Ground freestyle alot, then trails, then so on. I just got done looking at a Z400 and it seems like i get impressed more everytime i look at one. Does a Z400 do as near as good on the track as a yfz? i know the yfz does better on the track but how much? How good is the Balance point on a YFZ450?? This is an important factor because i ride wheelies more than i get to ride MX ( i think ive stressed that out enough). For some odd reason, i feel like i want the Z400 more than the YFZ! i dont know why but that thing is beautiful. BTW the trails i will be racing on are pretty tight so im guessing the z is much better of a ride than the yfz. any useful opinions/comments are apreciated, thanks.

Dude, im 15, theres no way in hell they would let me test ride a quad, it sucks, and i couldnt find out whether the yfz450 has a good balance point, or if a Z is any good on the mx track, i think they know we mean business but i guarantee they wouldnt let me test a yfz, im pretty sure i could sneak a ride in on the z though, but we wont be purchasing one for a little longer.

What kind of MX do you do? If you ride MX to when then get the YFZ, but if you ride because it is awsome and fun, then get the Z400. You can still enjoy the track and dominate the trails with the Z400. If life is all about the races and who is behind you than head over to you nearest yamaha dealer. If you get the Z400 you will have some more money for parts too.

this may not be what you want to hear but I'd buy the trx450r in your case.

yeah, ive been thinking about the 450r, but i dont know how good the balance point is on it, i must have a quad that is good at wheelies and has a good balance point, where i ride there isnt much trails so its kinda boring unless you know how to do good wheelies, so it has to be able to do wheelies ( i think ill start a thread on 450rs and wheelies). I was thinking about trying to get a 450r, since i know it can do very well on track and trails (which will be exactly what i race on), the 450r is definatly an option. and Zblaster, id definately let you take a spin on the 450r if i got one .
