Pull that jug off and send it to Eric Gorr racing, he'll port it and do a head mod for $150, and really make it come to life.

This might seem obvious but, lightweight tires and wheels on the rear really help.
I went with 20" turf tamers on blue labels.
Yes this is not the toughest combo but they spin and slide nice.

The cylinder is referred to as the "jug". When ported you would need a good piston also.

for 200 bones

I would probably go with some better rear tires/rims (offset to gain a little width)

then sell the stock tires/rims on ebay and use the money from that to fill your gas tank

Turf tamers, kenda claws, holeshots, and razrs are all pretty popular. It does depend a little bit on where you ride. Also, unless riding only in sand or open spaces, I would suggest black label or better wheels.

Razrs are really good tires. Holeshots about about 10$ more expensive but you're paying for the same thing. If you're getting tires get razrs or holeshots. as far as really wanting more power, you're going to have to do serious motor work like porting and boring. BUT you can put little things like a degree key, 12 or 14 tooth sproket(depending if you want top end or accel.) you may consider an oil injection block off as well, it's just extra insurance. But as far as a next step modd, TIRES! it's a night and day difference
