Default Anyone here familiar w/ Lectron carbs?

Hey guys, got my Motofast 2 to 1 carb setup installed and it actually runs pretty decent as it is (I expected to have to do more custom settings to match my quad), however I have two questions. The Lectron instructions go into lengthy detail on how to tune low, mid, and top end by adjusting the rod, however it makes NO mention of 1) the choke, 2) setting idle speed, and 3) adjusting the power jet screw. My questions are:

Choke
1) The choke pulls up, but doesn't stay up like a normal choke. Is it supposed to?
2) Also, the acorn nut on top of the choke screws in and out. I feel it clicking as I do it. What does this adjust?

Idle Speed
1) There is an idle screw on the left side. I have turned it to get an appropriate idle. Is there a base setting which I should be at? I still have kind of a high idle and am not sure if it is an idle screw setting issue or not enough slack in the throttle cable.

Power Jet Screw
1) The instructions say that to increase the power jet richness, I need to go up a jet size. It makes no inference that it can be adjusted by turning the screw, but I'm wondering if it has some adjustability or is it just a cap to access the powerjet? Also, I need to know if screwing it in richens it or leans it out. It is on the filter side on the carb, so I THINK that means screwing it in richens it...but then again that is based on air idle mixture screw locations, so that may not be applicable to powerjet screws.

Help guys!

BTW, I love the 2 to 1 setup. Way more bottom end. The lightswitch powerband is still noticeable, but it "turns on" much quicker, almsot immediately, and the top end hit is just slightly less (may come back with fine tuning the powerjet, as it seems to be rich). The -2 swingarm w/ the +2 axle and a-arms (and Works shocks) makes for an incredible handling machine. Feels a lot more like my quadracer did than I thought a Banshee ever could. We still have snow out here, so my traction is limited, so all may change when I can actually hook up!

I'm not much help but, there are different power jets one uses mikuni pilot jets and then there is the spigot type which it sounds like you have. I'm pretty sure turning the screw out on that one will richen the top end. As far as your idle goes you should feel some play in the throttle, if not you need to adjust some slack in the cable.

I dont think the **** on the choke does anything. I believe the choke is just a rubber plug that opens up an air bleed port when up to suck more fuel into the engine for starting. Mine just popped up and stayed up until i popped it back down. This was on my lectron from the mid 90s so they might be different now. I do know that jetting was super easy and quick.

Just to add my limited knowledge.
The choke should stay up, mine was REAL hard to pull all the way up the first few times.

I think whenyou turn it what you are hearing is a spring underneath the rubber boot that goes around the choke's shaft.

You should have some slack it the cable. If you can back the idle screw out and it doesn't change r.p.m.s then check your cable. If that has slack in it then it could possibly be a jetting problem.

Go to my picture page and check out the first picture. If the power jet looks like the one I have on there then out is more rich. Its shaped just like the needle in a regular carb and the more you screw out the further off the seat you pull it. It sucks raw fuel from the float bowl and sprays it into the carb at 3/4+ throttle.

Yep, the powerjet on mine is just like yours. Guess out is rich. However, I ended up not needing to adjust it. I figured out the problem. The choke was up already. I pushed down and with a little force popped down. It now is running perfectly and I am mucho impressed! Thanks for the help guys!
