Default Raptor leaking oil?

Went for a great ride on Friday night, and got some friends together to ride today, everybody was ready to go and I notice a substantial oil leak underneath the raptor. At first, I thought it was just the chain lube, I had applied a little earlier, but under closer inspection noticed it was coming from behind the sprocket. I tore it apart and ordered a seal and o-ring, but was just wondering, is this very common? I have about three or four buddies with Raptors, and just wanted to know if this is something that we should keep an eye out for? If I would have not seen the oil in the snow before we left things could of got real ugly real fast. Thanks in advance.

I don't think it's a common problem. Maybe your chain kicked something up to damage the seal.

Default Raptor leaking oil?

A buddy destroyed his seal and bearings by having the chain too tight.

I don't know if it is common but my friends Raptor did the same thing all it took was replacing the seal and now it is all better. I had a CR250 that would blow out the shifter seal if I had over filled it. ???????

I overfilled my oil tank and blew that seal, it's common and easy to replace. Remove the sprocket and the bolt on cover behind it, use a pick and pull the seal out and install a new one. I think you'll be in for about $6. No big deal, just dont drive it deeper than the one you remove or you'll need to replace the new one too. Been there, did that..... felt like a dolt. It'll take you 15 minutes to do, tip the machine on it's side and you wont leak so much.

The sleeve? Maybe I missed that because I did it on the side and only pulled the seal, are you referring to the bushing like thing on the countershaft?
