Hi Gravity, I have a 350 bruin and really like it. I feel that it has all the power for trailriding that you need. I ride double with my wife in the Ozark Mts. Are total weight is around 325 lbs. We go up and down these hills with no problem at all. The supension is better then I thought it would be, nice and comforable. It is real good on gas and I think that it is real quick for a 350. We had ours since Thankgiving and no trouble with it at all. Our bruin is a 4wd, but I have owned 2wd in the past. For the riding you plan on doing I would go with the 2wd and save a $1000. Later on you always can put a set of mud tires on the back wheels if you think you need them. The negative reports are that they feel tippy. Mine did at first, but you quickly get over that. All atvs to me seems a little tippy. After 3 months of owning and riding a bruin, I would go out and buy another one. lol

When i went out and got a new ATV I thought real hard about getting a Bruin because like you said not only does the bike look nice the price ain't to bad either ya know. I actually took a step up and got a 400 Kodiak just so that i could get a little more power. Here is something you should think about also, a dealer told me that once you get up to the Bruin the chasis size is the same as the 660 Grizzly, the Grizzly just has bigger tires.
And as for the four wheel drive, I have noticed that the only time that I ever really need to use it on my Kodiak is when I am either in deep snow or when I am crossing the River, other than that I think that 2 wheel drive is probably fine.
Well good luck with whatever choice you make.

The bruin is not on the same frame as a grizzly.

I bought a Bruin a few months ago and am very happy with it. Very good machine for the money. My understanding is its the same frame as the Kodiak. I have mine in 2WD 99% of the time but it's nice to have the 4WD if you need it. Mine was $4550 OTD.

When your talking about power, remember, at one time the biggest atv you could get was a 350 to 400. At that time everyone, including myself thought that was plenty! And you know what, it still is! Happy trails!

Hi, the grizzly has a bigger frame. It is 4" longer, 2.6" wider, and 3.5" higher then the bruin. The 450 and 400 kodiak and the 350 bruin share the same frame. If money is a issue go with the 2wd, you will be supprised how much a 2wd will go through with decent tires on it.
