Default Blown YFZ, need help deciding what piston/rod to go for

well my cousin blew his YFZ after maybe 10 hours of riding, well he piped and filtered it but did not rejet the guy who sold him the pipe and filter (Yoshi/white brothers) told him that he did not have to rejet the carbs. anway rod is gone, piston and sleve are gone as well.

so does any of you guys know if there is an overbored pistons out there for the YFZ?

thanks in advance

Ahmed

Isn't it sleeved so you don't have to go up in size - just replace sleeve etc?

its not a sleeve, it needs to be bored and replated. or you could buy a new jug.

call up millenium technologies

Ouch, what a bad idea. Maybe they should keep it at 439 so that when this happens you can still stay under 450???

bore is actually the same as the YZ450 dirtbike, its the stroke that is different.

If is was that important to stay under 450 I would just buy a new jug - its probably 200-300 and that is what a bore/plate costs too
