Shocks, definitely shocks. Best mod you can do. You don't need to spend huge dollars on Elkas either (even though they are worth every penny). Works are fine, and can be had for under $300. Do at least the fronts.

Tires. Another stock weakness. I can't recommend a particular brand, as I still am riding on stockers, but I have been on quads with Razr's, Klaws, and Holeshots and they make a huge difference.

If your looking for low end power you have the wrong pipes. Yes, raising compression will help bottom end power. I thought that if I did all low end mods and kept my T-5's I would have the best of both bottom and top. I was wrong. If you do alot of trail riding or mx I would suggest Paul Turner Mids if you have the money, but if not I would recommend FMF Gnarlies or Fatties. I don't like the 2 into 1 pipes because they kill top end. Most jet kits are a waste of money because you will never need most of them, buy the ones you need when you need them and save yourself some money. Instead of shaving your stock head, I would just get an aftermarket cool head, because then you can swap out domes. For example, if you want to run regular pump gas use your 20cc domes, if you want to run race gas use your 17cc domes. Swapping domes is a matter of a half an hour and pretty easy to do. One of the best mods you could ever do is shortening your swingarm. Shortening a swingarm will reduce unsprung weight and give you ALOT more traction. Guys that have shortened swingarms say the difference is night and day, with stock length your just spinning, but shorten it 2 inches and you will have all the traction you want. I like my Graydon nerf bars, but I have to say there customer service sucks. I would go with DG.

I personally don't see the benefit of being able to switch out domes. Once you get to a compression you like (do you want to run race gas only or premium), why change it? The cool head doesn't really offer better cooling from what I've read, so personally I'd shave a stock head for $30 and spend the $200 I saved on another mod. If cost was no object and I just wanted to blow money, heck yeah I'd buy one (I'd buy a boost bottle too..hehehe), but since most of us work on a budget and have to prioritize our mods, I can think of a dozen things I'd do before a cool head. Just my opinion...

If you dont want to spend much, advance the timing and up the compression. If you want alot more get it ported. Just make sure its a good shop doing it, and just because they overcharge a ton dosen't mean their good. Ask what their going to do to the transfer angle and timing, if they say nothing tell them "uhh.... ill get back to you".

the reason i want to run a shaved stock head is i just want the best out of pump gas and so it will look stock the t-5s were on the bike when i got it but the dumb $h!t didnt rejet the bike but thankfully he didnt ride it much it has a boostbottle what goot it does i dont think it makes a differance and i weight 310 lbs so i get about as much traction as the motor can stand i can hook up real good i was surprised when i almost flipped it were can i get a +4 key for it and how much do they cost thanks alot you all have been a great help

I have read 3 different reviews on cool heads, and all three said it lowered the external temp of the motor by at least 30 degrees.

Nothing an inline cooler or engine ice cant do for more than 25 bucks, save the $$ and get reeds or something in that respect.

Want more power, try a stroker crank, carbs, reeds. Should still be able to run pump gas. The bottom end will come alive. I've learned one thing over the years. The bottom end of motor is where hp is built. Dont neglect it. It cost money to go fast.
