Default What do you guy's think?

I have a cometic HP head gasket in my raptor and I think it might be blown. When I first built the motor I didn't get to retorqe the head before it blew coolant out the overflow. I Immidiatly retorqed it and it quit blowing water. I thought I got real lucky, but now I start riding with the level in the overflow bottle at the low mark and by the end of the day it will be at the high level and it will stay there even after its cooled off. This is under trail riding conditions not Drag racing. I'm guessing Draging would make it worse? Do you guys think I have a small leak in the head gasket from not retorqing it in time?

If you blew the head gasket the bike would loose compression and most likely not run. Also if you could of just blown a water port seal you would slowly loose water not gain...I don't think this has anything to do with the head gasket. I never noticed my water level changing but maybe some bikes just vary?

The water level never used to change with my 11:1 motor. I know its not getting hot also I checked the fan and temp sensor. Performance wise the bike runs good.

If your bike is running good it's not the head gasket...personally I wouldnt worry to much about the water level especially if it's not getting hot.
