i pick-up my new '04 Pred tomorrow and was wondering about a proper break-in procedure or first service needs?

YES, when you take it back for its first service have them trade it for a raptor..............Just kidding, it should be in the manual. Something like half throttle the first 10 hours and 3/4 after that for 10.

 

OH BOY!!!!! Now you have done it MT!!! LOL You now have 2 of Polaris BADDEST machines ever!!! LOL Are you getting 2 Preds???

You must have some DEEP pockets mt...or are you finding change between the couch cushins again?

 

proper break in... to be honest i didnt break mine in the way it should be.. and look at me... lol.. i dont think thats why though.
i didnt hold it to the bar for a while and did take it easy... somewhat but the power was addicting and needed to be used!
i suggest changing the oil after the first good ride... 30-45 mins... then every other good ride for the next 10 hours...
