Default Bad sound from my p700

I just took my p700 to the shop for the second time and it has 18 hrs on it. It's making a noise from the tranny/rearend that sounds to me like a very tight pinion gear or bearing. It starts making the sound at about 7mph and continues with the turn of the tires. The first time I took to the dealer they changed the final drive oil and said to run it and see what happens. That was at 6 hrs. The noise contiued (of coarse) and I just took it back and said to call me when it's quiet. This is the best quad i have ever been on (been on them for 25 years), I just hope they can figure the noise out. Great forum guy's, Any imput on this problem? Thanks

Does it shound like a whine? As you go faster the sound gets a little louder? If so, its normal and you dealer is not that good or brand new. If not then you may have some serious problems. The Kawi 650/700 and V-Force 700 all make this whining sound as they drive, at first its a little weird but now I love it. Forgot to mention that this is caused by straight cut gears in the tranny for improved reliability.

It's not a normal noise. The dealer said it was not normal but could not explain it and said they have never had one make this noise. It's a noise like something is out of round. No clunking or anything like that and the machine runs great. It has made the noise from the minute I unloaded it. I guess we'll see what they say when they get it apart.

I forgot to say it won't make it until about 7mph. It's like something engages to make the noise.
