I just finished installing a new Edelbrock Quicksilver carb on my KFX 400 and I was looking at my old carb thinking it would be pretty easy to try it on the lakota. Has anyone ever tried a stock KFX400 carb on a piped lakota with airbox removed? The kfx and lakota carbs are only 4mm apart.

 

.. I was toying with such an idea myself. But more along the lines of a 300ex carb, its the same size but with an accelerator pump. I don't know anything about the carb off the KFX, but if it's got an accelerator pump, then by all mean, give it a shot.

 

you have it so give it a try i am sure you will have to moddify the throttle cable to get it in.

 

Dont know about the KFX carb but a 300EX works good on an almost stock quad.I have a 400EX carb on a built Lakota and it works great.
