Which ATV for Me
#1
I have owned 3 ATVs in the past 5 years. I owned a 99 Scram 500 4x4. I loved the power, but for some reason I sold it for something faster. So then I bought a 00 Scram 400 2x4 and modified it. It was very fast, but I did not like the 2 stroke power. So I sold it and bought a Raptor 660R. I really liked the Raptor, but I felt like it was too much on the sport side for me. I am getting older and now I need a sporty utility quad. Just wanted to get some opinions on some good options for me. I want something sporty but also able to work. I do not want anything smaller than a 500.
Thanks.
Thanks.

How much work are we looking at? What kind of work? I would think you'd be really happy with a kawi v force. 700 vtwin w/ auto tranny and shaft drive. Very comfortable, and very quick. If you need to do some yard/ranch/farm/plow work, you need to shift more to the utility side. The prarie would be great, as would a vinson 500. The rincon is a very capable and sporty 4x4 as well.

I’d say you’d like a Vinson manual (would be sportier than the auto version), a Prairie 700, the Grizzly 660, the Arctic Cat 650 or the Honda Rincon. If you can wait until summer see what the new Suzuki King Quad 700 will have to offer. The V-Force may be too sporty for you, it would be like a cross between the Raptor and the Scrambler (in 2x4 mode) and it would not be a good work quad, although it depends on what you mean by “work”…
