Default New shocks or revalved shocks?

I'm not about to spend $2000 on shocks for my quad, not anymore. If I were to send in my shocks to Elka, Axis or Ohlin or whoever could they revavle them for my riding style, weight, different oil and spring? I think they could but would it help, would it be comparable in anyway to the aftermark shocks? I don't motocross but just want an ultra plush ride on the trails and small to medium jumps I take. Whats everyone think? I think this would save you some money and offer comparable performance.
