out of your choices, likes, and dislikes about those sport quads, the pred fits right in your categorization hehe. go for the pred. try to get an 04 tho, some of the 03's out there had a few issues here and there.

As a recent shopper of an ATV in the class your looking at, I will give you what I learned without biase(sp).
--The Pred and Rappy are both excellant quads. The specs are only slightly different, with similar results on user (magazine review) feedback. DO NOT get caught up in what people say in these forums, most will always give theirs the nod. Do your own research and test ride each atv. I honestly believe both are great ATVs.
-----------------------------
---Because you asked about Pred probs---------
From what I learned, the minor probs with the Pred have to do with rear end suspension and weight. Seems to bury the *** end in mud fairly easy. I think a few complaints about shifting also. All have been somewhat fixed in the 2004 model from what I understand. Many complaints about doing 'soft wheelies', as they seem hard to do to get over logs and such. Also think this has been addressed by making wheel base slightly closer.
The Pred is absolutely a top 3 choice in the open class, with the order varying because of individual uses.
