whats the best pipe for a raptor?
#1
I am trying to decide what pipe to get my 2001 Raptor. I'm thinking about just getting a slip-on because I dont have the kind of money to get the full system. I'm looking for the best all around one (meaning noise, power, and weight.) that is a good price. Thanks

sparks is a full system, and costs over 500 bucks.
There are lots of slip ons for the raptor. White bros, yoshimura, and gtyr all make good ones. The noise isnt as bad as the full pipes, and you drop some wieght as well.

When they had a pipe shootout in DW, they said CT sonic gave the most power and was on the lower side of the decibal levels.

Check ebay for some. Magicracing and rockymountainatv usually have some decent deals, and the back of an atv magazine is a good place to start as well.

i have had my eye on a yoshi slip on for a while. but i hear that the DMC alien puts out more power. I found an alien for $241, plus another $54 for the spark arrester. The yoshi i found was the RS-3 comp series, and it was priced at $321. both were at gopartsdirect.com. which one would be the better choice?

I havent had any experience with the slip on alien, but the yoshi performs well. I would suggest reposting that last question in the yamaha forum, you will get answers from lots of experienced riders.
