Did you bleed the air out of the system? Did you wash it lately with a pressure washer? That will mess up the oil sensor sometimes. My DS lost one of the check valves and had to be opened up and fixed.

Dont run it until you check the oil res filter, its the oil line on the bottom of oil res... Pull out the filter and make sure it is not clogged up... Do this just to save yourself ALOT of $$. Mine went dim and what not, But it was tooo late for me, needed new bottom end after a few runs .

I had this exact same problem, the light dimming to about half the full brighness after the machine was started. I took it to the dealer to have it fixed "twice I'll add". They said it was a sender switch. I haven't rode much because of winter so we'll see what's up in the spring. Although my warranty is now up.

Yes, because you don't have any oil pressure.

Mine sensor went out once, too. Whats funny is the dealer charges a sh!tload to replace them, or you can go buy one at autozone for around $4. Maybe someone on here knows, but I think one for some chevy model works. Anyone know what I'm talking about?

problem solved...it ened up being the oil pressure sensor. the fan sensor went out at the same time! must have had some kind of little power surge or something. ( or maybe got them too wet at the car wash!)

How did you figure the fan sensor went out too?

well my fan just wouldn't come on. so a way to test it is to take a fuse and connect both of the wires coming out of the sensor and turn your key on. if the fan comes on the sensor is your problem.
