I am currently searching for a DS 650, to replace my 500HO which is for sale. A new 650 will be about $6100 out the door. A used 01 or 02 would be between $3000-$4000 in my area. I don't mind spending the money but is there that much difference?? I ride mostly in the woods, thanks.

The 04 is worth the extra money. I have ridden earlir models and compared them to my 04. The earlier models are wider, heavier, longer, and have a few bugs that, while they have been addressed, are not present in the 04. for trails the few inches and punds here and there that make up the difference in the 04 are well worth the extra cash.

 

Ive been so happy with my 04 Baja X that the improvements I am making to it are coming slower than any other bike I have had. I really enjoy this thing...stock! The 04 is so much better. Worth it.
