Anyone been out too Lakes Motorsports in Waterford Michigan. It's about a 2 hour drive for me but they say they check the fuel air ratios for you and help you to tune it right. 30 bucks for a couple of runs or 60 bucks for an hour.

What do you all think is it worth it and has anyone here been their before.

 

well I have never had my bikes on a dyno but I had my engine for my GTO dynoed. To give you an Idea I paid $400.00 for 7 hours of dyno time. This included any kind of tuning it needed. So I would say its worth it.

 

id do it... i never looked at prices or anything but i figured it would be in the 100$ range.

 

I had my Harley dyno tuned at Syndicate Cycle in Bay City, MI. Cost me $90 for about an hour. I had just put a new carb and set of pipes on it. I gained 6 hp by them tuning it from the base run. Well worth it IMO. In fact, I will get it done again this spring.

 

an extra 6 HP.. thats crazy... goes to show what good tuning can do... to bad i suck at it..

 

No kidding!! And thats even after I tuned it myself to make it at least run good. I feel that dyno tuning is the best way to do it. You can see the flat powerband curve on my dyno sheet compared to the step looking curve from the base run. They can tune it to solve flat spots that my style bike is notorious for. You wouldnt believe how much better these things run after getting dyno tuned

 

id love to get it done.. but there is no where around here to do it.

Well, I hate to chim in late here, but, I happened to goto Silver lake this weekend and raced a 400 sport that was smoking built banshees, including my buddies banshee, and Raptor. he was smoking everything! I talked to him and he said it was his bosses, and to make it worse, he built it for his wife!!! It is being sold on their site, and what it says is true, it does beat modded banshees. I am seriously going to have them dyno my bike, plus more....

 

I drive by that place almost every day..... Im going to have to take my banshee and scrammy in there and get them dyno'd.
I never even thought about it before but for that kind of money and a possible hp improvement. very worth it IMO.
