Won't work, but Z400 hubs will fit I'm pretty sure. That gives you that nifty Honda hub pattern instead of 85-86 which is kinda oddball in comparison.

85-86 are 25 spline or 24 spline... I'm too damn tired to look it up, hard day at work. Got flooded out, and last night I couldn't get to sleep 'til like 1AM because the room was spinning WAY too fast and I had a crazy Dillinger Escape Plan song stuck in my head at. I think it was Sandbox magician. Yeah, pretty sure. Download it and imagine trying to get to sleep with that playing in your head. Anyway, 87+ are 27 spline. That I don't have to look up.

Arrrrr... going to pass out.... so sleepy...

Justin Jones, you may want to look it up

85-87 are 24 spline, not 25. 88-92 are 26 spline, not 27.

If you really want the 4 bolt pattern, then just put in a 85-87 axle.

Does any body know for sure what splines a z400 has, and if they in fact fit the older quadracers?

you might not even have to get new Z400 hubs if the LT250R hubs can fit in the bell of the wheel. You could drill the 5 bolt pattern in there, but it's not a do-it-yourself job unless you really trust your skills at aligning things up.

Also, 85-86 hubs will interchange with Blaster, Banshee and Warrior rear hubs, I checked on this myself and somebody on another forum claims they've done it... and MAYBE 400EX hubs bolt on, (I think they had the same spline count) but I've never checked if the shafts were of the same dia... the 85-86 LT hubs won't interchange with the TRX250R, I'm sure of that.

Slacker1Bob to the rescue!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Yes I remember that now... good thing you piped up! thanks for savin' my ***, man.

yeah, I just looked it up and the Z400 is 26 spline. Just like the LT250R. I knew they might interchange, but I can't remember the numbers in my head right now. SLEEP AWAITS.

I have heard than Blaster hubs work, but not sure if the others work. Kinda cool if Banshee hubs work. More availability for wheels. I know some have the same spline count, but the diameter may still be different. I have not tried myself, so I make no claims, just what I have heard. The 300ex has the same spline count as the 85/86 but it shaft is bigger, so it doesn't quite work.
