Just found this forum and it looks cool. I have a few questions and could use some help. After sitting awhile, my battery went dead on my 425 4x4. Can this be recharged or do I need a new one? If so, what is the best brand?

Is there a paint that will stick on the plastic and not chip off? Was thinking about camo.

Lastly, is there a way to rig the high and low beams to stay on at the same time?

i don't know if it is good on the quad, but i can put my light switch in the middle and run all three of my lights on my sportsman 500. just a thought but i am not real sure of the long term effects of this.

I have the a 98 425 Magnum. There was a post a few months ago about using diodes on some of the headlight wires in order to get both sets of headlights on when the brights are turned on. Try doing a search on this topic or post a seperate thread on headlight wiring. I do not know the answer to the paint question. On the battery question, I let this happen once. I removed the battery and filled the cells up with acid left over from a motorcycle battery and its been fine for about 2 years. Check the fluid levels in all the cells.

 

Paint will most lickley peel off. But you could try camo tape

 

Thanks for the info. I priced a battery and was $45 for an import. Havent bought one before so I dunno if this is a good deal or not.
