What would be a better quad for my son - The 90 predator (2 Stroke) or the Raptor 80cc (4 Stroke)
Are the Raptors as fast as the Predators ?
I have seen a predator go before
I like the idea of a 4-stroke and semi-automatic transmission. I know the little honda is 90cc , 4-stroke and semi-atomatic - but it is not the nicest looking quad on the market - any help/advice would be great

I have heard more good about the Predator and more bad about the Raptor. If you are wanting a 4 stroke semi, get the Honda 90. If you want an automatic 2 stroke name brand get the Predator.

 

Please, Do not buy the Raptor. The Honda is a good choice if name brand/4 stroke is what you are after. If you are looking for a race machine then start with a Kasea/LRX or a Dinli.

 

No raptor.....Go with the predator. I have seen stock ones stay with modded bikes before. The raptors stock suspension and stuff is horrible and havent seen it yet but just waiting for the Raptor to bounce a kid fast first.

 

there is no choice here! Pred all the way. The front suspension on the Raptor stinks. If you want a 4-stroke go with the Honda TRX 90. Have you looked at the Suzuki lt-80 ? In my book the suzuki is a great quad. My 6 yr old boy has a 2003 for joy rideing. It is stone stock and it flys. Tuff as a nail. And Mods are a dime a dozen. I just can't wait to start the mods for this one. Where we woods race the Lt-80's really take home alot of throphys. I like a 2-stroke myself. They have the power all the time. The 4-strokes are shifting all the time.1st is to low and then 2nd is to high. But this is just my 2 cents worth. It doesn't mean I'm right. I do like the Pred tho. And I'm not bashing the Yamaha. I like Yam's I Ride one myself. But the straight front end stinks on off camber places. And Dodge power said he hasn't seen a Raptor bounce a kid face first, I have plenty of times! suspension on the pred is awsome!! compared to the raptor. Very adjustable and the bike will handle alot of abuse!
