Default "TALLER" hauler paddle tires.... TOO MUCH for DS?

i found some some semi-local used skat trak "TALLER HAULER" in whati beleive is a 22 inch tall tire.

they are also 10 paddle.....

im wondering if this is way too much paddle for the ds? i have a cdi,exhaust,KN....

anyone have experience with the TALLER haulers? (good/bad?)

also, will 9x9 rims fit the ds hubs?

Thanks guys (i searched, but it didnt yield any info that helped me)

The 9 inch rim will probably not fit your DS, I dont think there are any 9 inch rim in that bolt pattern. Our hubs are uniqe to the ATV industry and it is hard to find "the right style" for our beloved rides. Check with a vendor before you buy.

The ds come's stock with 9 inch rims. The 8 inch rims will not fit the stock ds unless you mechine the hubs down.

I have taller haulers but you will need to gear down to 15t front.

how many paddles, and in 22 or 20 inch?

any motor mods?

im just worried there would be soo much beef in the traction department i would just feel like im pulling a trailor or somthing up all the hills...?

You need 22" tires. I have 8 paddle Extreme Haulers and they don't seem to be quite enough for the DS. I should have either gotten 8 paddle Rippers (the Extreme version of the Taller Hauler) or 10 paddle Extremes. If the price is right and you are not concerned about losing a little bit off the top end, I would take them (if the rims fit...). Good luck with your decision and let us know how it works out.

I had 22-11-10, 10 paddle extremes for a while with no such penalties the in power department only extreme traction. sometimes too much traction like in turns when powering out you have to be very careful with the throttle. I reciently switched to a set of 9 paddles and found equil traction on the flats and up the hill but they allowed me to turn (slide) easier. Much better. For my riding style this is the best of both worlds.
BTW I have a set of almost new 10 paddles available
