I was changing my air filter on my 2000 Trailblazer and noticed that the inlet tube runs way down into the bottom of the airbox. It looked like it really restricted the air supppy to the carb. So, I cut it off about 3 inches. Now it only extends about half-way down inside the box. Hope I did'nt foul up? I've heard of people doing this to supply more air to the carb.............. I did notice slightly better acceleration. And the jetting seemed fine. What do you think?

I did it to mine, i cut off the tube, leaving 1" left from the top of lid and removed the snorkel Assy.

It just gives you more air.

Mine is like DGBlasters.
I did it per instructions from Rick Ritters kit.
